Visit the Fife Folk Museum, Ceres
Fife Folk Museum celebrates the social, domestic and working lives of the people in Fife. The Museum is housed in historic buildings located in the heart of the Conservation Area of the historic village of Ceres.
Fife Folk Museum was founded in 1968, and has expanded several times since then. Its collections are wide-ranging, covering every aspect of the daily life of everyone from the humblest cottager to the owners and servants in large houses, not only indoors, but in the garden, on the farm, and travelling around the countryside. The objects range in size from dolls’ house furnishings to bicycles and horse-drawn carts; there are amazing costumes, china and glass, kitchen utensils, dolls and toys, farm implements, weights and measures, and old photographs, backed up by a small research library. To make your visit even more memorable, the Weigh House Tearoom provides mouthwatering home baking and delicious soup and sandwiches and you can choose the perfect gift from the Museum shop.
