Travel to Tennessee, USA

Southern Cooking

In a state known as the barbeque capital, ham heaven and catfish kingdom, you know the food’s going to be good. Don’t miss trying Memphis-style ribs, hot fried cornbread and blackened catfish. It’s okay if you want seconds.

Highland Rim

The Highland Rim, which surrounds the Nashville Basin, is an area of immense natural beauty. Hike to one of the many waterfalls or purchase a permit to fish in one of the nearby streams.

The Music

Whether you have time to visit Nashville, Memphis or both, you’ll soon hear the sounds of Tennessee’s rich music scene. Catch a concert at the iconic Grand Ole Opry, visit Elvis Presley’s Graceland or simply take in an impromptu show along Music Row.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Straddling the border between North Carolina and Tennessee, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is one of Tennessee’s best-loved destinations. Hike 800 miles of trails, observe deer and elk or simply enjoy a picnic in America’s most-visited park.

Civil War History

Civil War history lives on in the 168 historic sites peppered throughout the state. Tour Bleak House, where canonballs are still embedded in the walls, or visit one of the 71 battlefields.

Went to for 2016 Summer camp with FBCPC youth group. I had an amazing time, made new friends, learned a lot about the Muslim religion, and helped people by playing with kids in a refugee camp and deepening the peoples relationship with the local missionaries there.
